Deemed a “Breakthrough Star” by MMSCENE Magazine, English-Nigerian producer, singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, speaker, and model ASHER YELO is one to watch. Selected by legendary producer Rodney Jerkins "Darkchild” as one of fifteen artists to collaborate on The Culture Tape V.1, a Web3 mixtape, and tapped by Disney/Pixar to create an original remix of a Ratatouille track for the first-ever Pixar Place Hotel, ASHER YELO is taking the definition of “bedroom producer” to new heights.
His talent has also earned him recognition from some of the industry’s most respected figures, including a co-sign from the late, legendary Quincy Jones and a nomination for International Rookie Artist of the Year at the 2022 Denniz Pop Awards—an honor awarded by a jury featuring Max Martin, Tove Lo, Rami Yacoub, and more. His debut single, Go Backwards, was featured in Oprah Winfrey’s Queen Sugar and received airplay on Australian radio. Adding to his accolades, he won ASCAP’s Harold Adamson Lyric Award, which led to a variety of high-profile collaborations, including Atlantic Records Freshman Fridays and K-pop writing sessions in Stockholm for major labels like SM, HYBE, and JYP. His music was also featured in David Oyelowo’s Becoming King on Paramount+.
On the heels of his Instagram remixes, which received recognition from the official Instagram team, and led to an onsite activation at Coachella, ASHER YELO continues to expand his catalog by writing and producing for a wide range of artists, with a variety of releases set for 2025, including a duo project with rapper Max Wassen, as well as collaborations with award-winning composer/producer Rami Yacoub and MXM. Through new music, content, and cross-industry collaborations, 2025 is set to showcase the full scope of who he is within the Pop/R&B landscape.
